It is often said
that one must climb levels—
ascending step by step
until finally reaching Enlightenment.
This makes sense
from the perspective of the mind
seeking expansion.
But from the perspective of Awareness itself,
there are no steps.
You already are
what you seek to become.
Pure Awareness
is beyond all states—
holy or unholy,
expanded or contracted.
It is that
by virtue of which
any state appears.
From the level of Consciousness itself
there is no staircase.
There is only one indivisible wholeness.
The idea of progressing
toward what you already are
is simply another concept.
Only after Awakening
can the meaning of “higher states”
be truly understood.
Before Awakening,
we do not know what Consciousness is.
Through meditation
we may experience deep silence,
expanded awareness,
alert stillness.
These are genuine.
But experiencing Consciousness
is not the same
as being Consciousness.
It is the difference
between swimming in the ocean
and being the ocean.
After Awakening,
Consciousness—
your real Self—
naturally unfolds
broader perspectives of itself.
Not the individual mind evolving,
but Awareness
recognizing its own depth.
These so-called “higher states”
are not mystical fantasies.
They are clearer expressions
of reality as it is.
The mind cannot imagine them.
Words cannot contain them.
They are lived.
Writing about them
is not to give you more concepts,
but to remind you
that your existence
is vaster
than you have been allowed to believe.
Even hearing these words
with simple openness
can act as a catalyst.
Truth recognizes itself.
These words are not speaking
to your intellect.
They are Consciousness
speaking to itself—
in the innermost core
of your Being.
And that is why
something deep within
knows
when it is hearing
what is real.
