THE NATURE OF CONSCIOUSNESS

On its own level,

Consciousness knows itself.

And in this,

it has two inseparable aspects:

As the Knower—

it is silent, absolute, unmoving Being.

This is,

in some traditions,

called Shiva.

As the process of knowing—

it is dynamic, alive, intelligent.

This is,

in some traditions,

called Shakti.

Stillness

and Aliveness

are not two.

Right now,

the Presence around you

is silent and still.

Yet if you attend more deeply,

you may sense a subtle liveliness—

a quiet Aliveness

within the Stillness.

An energy.

A watchfulness.

A subtle hum of Being.

This Aliveness

is Consciousness

in the act of knowing itself.

Silent Awareness—

and the Intelligence of its own self-recognition.

When fully awakened,

it becomes clear:

The experiencer,

the process of experiencing,

and the experienced—

are one seamless reality.

The silent field of pure Awareness.

The dynamic field of pure Intelligence.

And the world appearing.

All one movement.

What has been missing

is the conscious recognition

of the true “I”—

and the living “I Am.”

Without this,

life feels partial.

Something seems absent.

Because you have been living

as the object of experience—

believing yourself to be the subject.

Like a probe cut off from its source,

you functioned—

but without full connection

to what you are.

To know the true nature of the world,

you must first know

the true nature of yourself.

When the unbounded experiencer,

the movement of experiencing,

and experience itself

are known as one wholeness—

you are whole.

Consciousness is awake

to the fullness of itself.

This is life lived completely.

This is what it means

to be enlightened.
